Ah!!! Spring is FINALLY in the air. The flowers and trees are blooming, the sun is starting to peak-out again, and the birds are singing songs about… whatever it is the damn birds sing about!
The green stuff is beginning to grow again too — Mrs. Tako is getting the urge to dig out the garden tools and scratch around in the dirt again. It must be spring!

Is winter over yet? I’m SO ready for Winter to be over…but sadly spring is still a long ways off in the Pacific Northwest.
Technically spring is supposed to start in April, along with the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Unfortunately, Old-man winter always takes a lot of convincing to leave.

It seems like the older I get, the faster time passes. January went by in the blink of an eye! One minute it was New Year’s Eve, and now… mere minutes later, it’s February!

December has a reputation for being an expensive month, and around our house that definitely holds true. There was budget Christmas gifts to gather, additional travel costs (to visit the Grandparents), and even some New Years celebrations.
That all adds up to a very expensive month … except we didn’t exactly break the bank.

Summer is officially over. It went by far too fast here in the Pacific Northwest. With epic clear blue skies and mild temperatures, the summer here is glorious. But it changes fast.

Summer is in full swing, and temperatures have finally risen above 70F here in the Pacific Northwest. I’ve heard rumours that the rest of the nation is encountering record heat levels, but we’re having a cooler than usual summer. Record temperatures? Hardly!
