Read moreIt’s been a long time since I’ve written a post about snack foods. Over the years, I’ve written a number of different blog posts about making snack foods, but for some reason I haven’t written a new one in years.
Go figure!
In the past, I’ve written about the low-cost snacking wonder that is popcorn, and how incredibly good DIY salsa can be. Both are great snacks that can be healthy and ultra affordable… as long as you skip the over-priced commercial products…
Read moreDon’t look now, but it’s time for another monthly update! Just like in previous months, I like to use this post to share all the niggly financial details of our life, as well as how much dividend income we’ve earned.
March was a fantastic month for a number of reasons. For one, March is when daylight savings time begins..
Read moreFebruary is always an interesting month. Not only is it the shortest month of the year, but it’s also right smack in the middle of winter.
Like many other families living in the northern hemisphere, we received a giant blast of winter weather this February. We got “snowed-in”…

Although my blog was started back in December of 2015, my last day of work at a “corporate” job was September 30th, 2015. It took me a few months of unemployment before I finally decided to start writing the blog you see here today.
It’s been an interesting 5-year journey to say the least. Filled with all the ups and downs, and strange fluids you might expect from raising two kids…
Read moreHi folks! Instead of my usual blog post where I decide the topic my choosing, this week’s post I thought I’d we mix things up a bit! It’s time for the readers to take charge and let them ask questions!
That’s right, it’s Q & A time! This week’s post is composed entirely of reader questions, and I’ll do my best to supply the answers!
Without further ado, lets get this Q & A started….
Read moreIt was the best of times. And, it was the worst of times. That pretty much sums up March in our household. It was definitely good times with the whole family at home, nice spring weather occurring, and enjoying life as best we can under lockdown. Meanwhile our investments provided ample income to cover our cashflow needs…
